When Cassie Taylor met Ethan Holt at acting school, sparks flew. She was the good girl actress. He was the bad boy about campus. But one fated casting choice for Romeo and Juliet changed it all. Like the characters they were playing, Cassie and Ethan’s romance seemed destined. Until he broke her heart and betrayed her trust. Now the A-list heartthrob is back in her life and turning her world around. One touch at a time.
Cast as romantic leads once again, they’re forced to confront raw memories of the heartbreaking lows and pulse-pounding highs of their secret college affair. But they’ll also discover that people who rub each other the wrong way often make the best sparks
Despite destroying Cassie Taylor twice before, Ethan Holt now wants another chance, but how can she possibly take him back knowing it could all go to hell again? And yet, knowing how much she still loves him, how can she not?
Second chances are hard to come by. Third chances, even more so.
Shakespeare once wrote, “The course of true love never did run smooth.” Next to that quote, he should have included a picture of Cassie and Ethan.
Ethan just made me smile… 🙂

Dear Cassie
Let me tell you a story. It’s about the stupidest and most lovesick man in the world. Let’s called him Etham.
Once upon a time, Etham fell in love with the most beautiful woman in the world. (For the sake of the story, let’s call her Lassie.)
Even though Etham knew he’d probably fail, he tried really hard to be Lassie’s boyfriend. He hoped that maybe, just maybe, the intensity of his feelings would somehow win out over all his issues.
They didn’t.
After he took her virginity, his feelings exploded, and he went into a kind of emotional free fall that destroyed everything in its path. Lassie included.
In a nutshell, he ruined the best thing that ever happened to him.
For a while he thought it was for the best, and then for a year after that, he tried to get Lassie out of his system.
Hah.
As if that were possible. Her name was tattooed on his every cell. Inscribed bone deep on his heart and body.
Getting her out of his system was never an option.
Then, one fateful night, a million years after they broke up, he offered to drive her home from a party. He practically begged her to invite him in for a drink, and after that …
Well, after that he proved how very not over her he was.
Since then, Lassie and Etham have been playing this weird game of cat and mouse. They never plan to have sex, but it somehow keeps happening.
Every time Etham sees Lassie, he wants to touch her so badly he has to lock his knees to stay still. Part of him can’t believe he ever had the strength to walk away from her, but then he realizes what drove him away in the first place was weakness, not strength. Stupid, self-loathing weakness.
That part is still inside him, whispering to stay away, but whenever she’s near, it’s shouted down by the desperate animal who wants her, no matter the cost.
The moral of the story is this: Etham loves Lassie, and desperately wants her to be his Valentine, but he’s too much of a chickenshit to let her know, even by showing her the thinly veiled metaphor within this letter.
Will I screw up this letter when I finish writing it? Yes.
Will I think about how much I wish things were different between us on Valentines’ Day? Hell, yes.
I love you, Cassie. Always.
Ethan.
Writing has always been a passion for Leisa, and even though she originally intended to be an actress, it wasn’t long into her time at drama school that she began writing plays.
Those plays were bad. Very bad. Well, her friends thought they were good, but that’s because they were always cast in them and any opportunity to be on stage was met with an obnoxious amount of enthusiasm.
Since then, she’s honed her craft, and several of her plays have been produced and toured throughout Australia.
These days, playwriting has given way to fiction writing, and Leisa’s debut novel, BAD ROMEO, will be available in a worldwide release through Macmillan Publishing in December 2014.
Leisa lives in Australia with her husband, two little boys, three cats, and a kangaroo named Howard.
(Howard may or may not be her imaginary marsupial friend. Everyone should have one.)

Hi Ang – I think you might be a little confused, it says Cassie in the synopsis, but in the love note, Ethan is being playful and making a joke, with the ‘Etham’ and ‘Lassie’ – it makes sense once you understand his personality. Hope that helps – thanks!
