So one day I got inspired about trying to convey in words the way Brooke and I feel about the books we read. This is the result…it barely scratches the surface – but it’s a start ♥ ~Lisa
We don’t just love books, we adore them
We let them consume us – heart, mind, body and soul
We can’t get enough, from page one until the very end
When it’s over, the rush of emotions is euphoric
We don’t just read books, we devour them
We live in their world, live their lives with the characters
Feel their pain, their joy, their love, their sorrow
We make them a part of us that we can never get back – never want back
We don’t just crave books, We are passionate about them
The creativity and time it took to invent something that blows our minds
The words that seep into the deepest places of our spirit
It fuels us and makes us want more – always more
It may only be for a few hours….a few hundred pages…
But for us…every book…is a True Story ♥
I agree! So well said!! <3
I live through the characters as well, people ask all the time about why I read so much, but it is an escape and just an amazing gift to read a book and love it. <3
I agree to when I read a book and it’s so good it’s like your right there with them going through all the emotions they are going through and I just wanted to say HAPPY 6 YEARS 🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻 it’s well deserved 🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋
Just wanted to say you ladies ROCK! and i love what your doing! Keep up the GREAT WORK! this is the only blog i follow!!!!
Thank you so much Autumn <3
I am ecstatic that I found your blog! The reason to Breathe series tore my heart into pieces.
I immerse myself into my books and love every emotion. Whether I laugh, cry or scream at the events taking place…..I keep going until the very last page. I am proud to say that I am a Book addict! 🙂
So glad we’re in good company 🙂 <3
Agree to all that is said above. New to this blog so help me out here. I was looking for the ‘love note’ from Evan to Emma. I just can’t seem to get enough of this story. I’m buying the books and passing them on to others. I refuse to part with mine, once I invest myself into a book, they become my treasures.
Any little piece of this story I will consume, heart and soul. Is there a letter, or was the mention of one pointing me to here…?
Hi Stephanie – yes, we have Evan’s love note – Click Here!
I really understand where you are coming from. When I read a book I get into them 100%, as if it were real life. I am very passionate about what I read.
Love books! I read everything from Nora Roberts to Stephen King 🙂
Well said. I love books because they take me into another world.
I guess your just the right person to write a blog about books. Happy reading!
Love it! “Every book is a true story!”
well said and love it 🙂 thanks for sharing all you do 🙂
sounds like you love the same kind I do …true stories .. So well written .. love it
I too feel as you. To be transformed into another world far far away is something you can only do through a good book. I love to read and find watching a movie so much less enjoyable. The only problem is, that once I start reading a book, I can’t put it down until I have read the very last word. I have a policy not to read a trilogy until the last book has been released because the waiting to find out what is going to happen next to my favorite characters (me) is way too hard!
I feel that way about books too. Thanks for sharing!
Books are a great get-a-way!
I’ve never thought to define my passion for reading quite like this…but, yeah, that’s it, in a nutshell 🙂
This was a well written article. I wish you wisdom to continue writing
I know exactly how you feel. I’m now trying to instill my love of reading in our children.
OMG that’s awesome – that’s what my mom did and look at me now 🙂
thumbs up people
This is so true and what inspired my love of books at a young age.
I so agree. They carry me away to another time
This was neat to read!
Books are a great escape! They can make you have every emotion a human being is capable of feeling in one story. LOVE BOOKS!
I am 40 years old, and I still allow myself to be transported in space and time to the different scenarios in the books I read. LOVE BOOKS!!! I love paper books…not such a fan of the new e-reading.
this beautiful love story
I am so happy my love of books has wore off on my son. He is 17 and I still find him curling up to a good book. Makes me so proud!
I love to read. My love for reading books started in grade school
I love to read and I am trying to instill the love of books to my grand kids. I appreciate your blog very much
I have to admit I would like to read more, but don’t really have much spare time, schedule very tight.
Books are a great escape.
I totally agree. I love to read. It becomes part of me. I love to read, but more so I love where words written on a page, can enter my mind and become…become something so amazing.
I totally agree! I love reading books that I can relate to! Your blog is a must have on blog reading list!
hear hear very well said and describes how I feel about reading books
Exactly how I feel too!
Books..especially by Stephen King (don’t be scepticle) have seen me through many very serious situations (hosptilizations) but I have really expanded my interests since I have retired and have lost myself in many different worlds……you make so many great comments
I certainly agree! thank you!
Thank You!!! Books are a great getaway.
This is literally the best way to describe the way I feel about reading. I love to write and read and am so happy to have found blog <3 I have literally fallen so in love with an author's work that I didn't finish a trilogy knowing that these where the only books he wrote and since he passed away will ever write. Books to me are not fiction. Books have gotten time through sleepless nights and broken hearts. If it wasn't for writing and reading I don't think I would be alive today to write this comment to be honest.
Thank you for this blog and thank you for positively advocating for those of us who breath and live writing and reading <3 🙂
This is the perfect description of how I feel, as a reader and a writer!
If it wasn’t for books I don’t think I would be alive today to write this comment.
Thank you for this blog and for positively advocating for readers and writers like me who live and breath books <3
You are much appreciated!
You can go anywhere you want to in a good book.
I find that I don’t want the book to end. If it’s a good one I want it to go on foreverer.
I didn’t know where to respond for the giveaway: https://www.rafflecopter.com/rafl/display/1eeafd78318/ I have not read any of the ten tiny breaths series. Thanks!
Books are great. They will take you anywhere that you want to go. Thank you very much.
For the J. Lynn giveaway. First love is just so beautiful and pure. And I love second chances because it’s great to see couples come back from misunderstandings and for love to conquer all. 🙂
Great lyrics!!! I envy those who can sit on the couch, or curl up in bed with a good book! The peace and quiet you must feel, while reading. I am not much of a reader, I am more a visual person. I never could find the right genre of reading material that takes me away! 🙂
This is such a great statement and I love a great book.
That was very well said and I love your blog site. Keep up the awesomeness! Cheers!
I am so glad I have somewhere to go to when I want to know more about new (to me) authors. I always get the scoop on writers and their books and new releases. It is very helpful information. I love, love, love books and it’s nice to know I’m not alone! <3
I feel REALLY lucky when I find a great book. It means I have something to look forward to after a busy/stressful day. It’s like immersing myself in a hot bubble bath – the luxury! A good book relaxes me and takes me out of the daily grind. (I sound like I work in a Charles Dickens workhouse!)
Book Blogs are invaluable for finding GRAT books. I wouldn’t have discovered The Opportunist (Tarryn Fisher) without True Story Book Blog.
Alison, I love hearing this! The Opportunist is one of my fav books of all time and it makes me giddy to know I brought it into someone else’s life! 🙂
Sorry for the typo!
I like your email format. I don’t know about other readers, but I prefer to read an excerpt of a book, rather than the synopsis. Of course, a synopsis is essential, but for me an excerpt is what helps me decide if the book is right for me.
Because of the excerpt of Denying Mr Parks, I DEFINITELY want to read it.
I, too, live in the book! I love the escape it brings.
I love it! That’s totally how I feel about books too.
Love the blog, entered for a Burse by Ammy
Would love a fifty shades of Grey one.
You couldn’t have said it better!
You’re awesome! Happy Blogiversary!
I absolutely love reading your Love Notes! I always look forward to reading them.
