It was Oliver’s accent. His phraseology was still British but his accent was muddled with American English.
“Were you filming dialogue today by any chance?”
He offered her a coffee cup with a smoldering stare. “Don’t worry. You’ll have your roguish Brit back in no time.” The way he’d focused every word, drawing out the vowels, elongating them in that sexy English way brought a wave of unadulterated heat from Layla’s hairline to her candy-apple red toenails. She gulped, forcing herself to breathe.
