Love, Your Concierge Front Cover

Organization – that’s what I do. Control – it’s my middle name.

Hello. I’m Elizabeth – your personal concierge. My job is to play fairy godmother to the rich and famous.

The universal rulebook may say to never mix business with pleasure, but its author never worked for Grant Morgan, my sexy and brooding client. As a top attorney in Manhattan, Grant is used to calling the shots and dominating everything he touches. He also changes girlfriends as often as I pick up his dry cleaning. A part of me still wishes I could let him command my body and take me in ways I’ve never imagined, though.

One moment of weakness is all it takes to change everything forever.

Addicted – I can’t get enough of him. Consumed – He’s all I think and dream about.

The book has officially been thrown out the window. I’m in love and completely terrified. With lines blurred, I find myself lying, cheating and stealing to protect myself from being hurt. But my choices affect more than just me and now I’m not so sure what I’m trying to protect myself from.

Will love be enough to erase all I’ve done? Or have I made the biggest mistake of all?

But past mistakes always have a way of rearing their ugly head and putting your future at risk.

True loves and happily ever afters are anything but easy, and never a guarantee. Can love really overcome any obstacle? Can happiness truly come without any strings?

love note

As I watched you playing on the floor with our daughter this morning, I almost pinched myself just to make sure that this magnificent life we’ve built is truly real. When you finally noticed me there and gave me that brilliant smile of yours, my world tilted just as it does every time I see your beautiful face, your kind eyes, and of course your loving smile. But what rocks me every time I’m near you is how utterly and completely you love me and our family. I couldn’t ask for anything more.

On Valentine’s Day there is an expectation to romance your significant other with flowers, fancy dinners and heartfelt cards. None of that truly means anything if you aren’t making an effort to give them the same amount of love and adoration the other 364 days of the year. Because I see every day as a chance to prove how much you mean to me and how damn fortunate I am that you love me in return, today I will say to you that I promise to never stop showing you that no matter what, you will forever be my one choice. My only choice… My always.

I Love You,

Grant

4.5 ‘kissed the tip of my nose’ “I’ve got you.” Kisses

I’ll go ahead and get this out of the way right now….best Jessica Ingro book I have read to date. *slow golf clap* This book was…amazing…awesome…stupendous. I was taken on a complete journey with Grant and Elizabeth and while I loved some parts more than others, I was 100% emotionally there and I completely enjoyed their story.

Elizabeth Ann Ward….my sweet, independent Elizabeth. I have to say her independence was the first thing that attracted me to her character…she’s strong, self-assured and has a lot to be proud of. She has great friends, a loving mother that she has taken care of since her father’s death and she has built a great business doing something that she loves and excels at and she basically did it all on her own, which is even more impressive. Life is good. She may not have everything she ever dreamed of…but she is happy and content living the good life she has. Until Grant Morgan crashes into her life. Before Grant, I don’t think love or relationships were even a factor in Elizabeth’s thinking…not that she never considered them, but she’s just very focused on her career…and Grant through her for a loop. Now…I have to be honest…for the most part, I was 100% on Team Elizabeth, but there were times in this book that I was frustrated with some of her actions…I could understand them, I knew where they were coming from, but at the same time I was wagging my finger at her and shaking my head. At the same time…we’re all human and we’re allowed to make our own mistakes and decisions, just because I wouldn’t have done it, doesn’t mean I can’t understand the logic behind it.

‘Being a personal assistant allowed me to be the control freak that I knew, deep down, I really was. Organization, control and essentially telling people how to run their lives – these are the things I specialize in. Throw a challenge my way, and I will beat it every time. I am that good!’

Grant Morgan…mmmm….Grant does things to me…things that I like. I like his dominance…it’s not over the top, not like a ‘master’ or anything like that but he’s a strong, powerful, confident man who knows what he wants, what he likes and he usually gets both. He’s been hurt…he has a past and he’s learned what works for him…he also knows what he wants when he sees it. Of course all that combined with his delicious T.D.H gorgeous exterior package (curly brown hair…blue eyes…tall…muscles…yum!) makes me weak in the knees just thinking about it but it was so much more than that. It was his actions and what he did with Elizabeth…once Grant unleashed that ‘romantic’ side…I was a lost cause. His ability to care for her and give into the fact that he could open to another person again…I couldn’t get enough. Grant would occasionally have these moments…I like to call them word vomit, where it was like he was being completely open and honest with Elizabeth and truly saying what was on his heart and mind…those were the best moments ever. That’s when I truly fell in love with him. So…Grant’s not perfect either…he’s a guy and he’s protective over his heart because it’s been broken in the past, so I understand that…but there was one particular instance when I really wish I could have kneed him in the balls. It’s pretty bad. Oh but never fear…he makes up for it. 😉

‘I’d fantasized about what he looked like underneath his typical three-piece power suits, but never once did those fantasies come anywhere close to touching the real thing. Holy shit. I felt an orgasm coming on just from looking at him. And I was welcoming it with open arms.
This wasn’t right. It couldn’t be possible. You read this shit in books. You did not live it in real life. It was like he had cast some sort of spell over me, turning me into mush and ramping up my hormones whenever he was around.’

So obviously Grant and Elizabeth are hot…fuckin sizzling-off-my-kindle hot. (This is Jessica we’re talking about…this woman has written some of the hottest sex scene’s I’ve ever read – and I’m a dirty book whore kinda gal 😉 ) Their relationship is not completely based on sex, but their physical connection is what pulled me in at first. Their sexual pull is so strong…it’s fierce and tangible and electric and it’s all wrapped up in understatedly sexy things that he says and looks they give each other, casual touches and all this tension that just is balled up into a force that knocked me on my ass. I loved when they were together, watching them feed off of each other…his need for control and her willingness to give it…they just complimented each other very well and their intense relationship was very addictive. But I am a romantic at heart and they do have some very sweet and intimate moments together that don’t involve sex…and that’s was truly connected me to them as a couple.

“You have no idea how much I care for you, do you? I need you, Elizabeth.”

Now…I pride myself on being able to pick up on plot lines – I don’t try to…it just comes naturally, and I’m not trying to humble brag here…but I usually figure things out before they happen. This plot line….totally blindsided me…in all the best ways…and I loved it. It was unique…the pace was great…I never felt that it got stiff or boring and the surprises just kept coming. It wasn’t just the plot that kept me intrigued but every single one of the characters…from Maya (Elizabeth’s bestie…I loved their banter) to Matt (the friend and casual hook up…that kinda squeezed my heart…totally didn’t see that coming!) and of course Travis (Elizabeth client/Grant’s friend)…each have their own special part in making the story line and how everything plays out and I cannot imagine the story without them. Most of the book is told from Elizabeth’s POV…in fact, we don’t get Grant’s POV until a good portion into the book…it’s kind of a surprise, but it’s more like that excited surprise that you get giddy over. We switch POV’s a few time throughout the rest of the book but it’s not predictable or scheduled…and it fits. It flows with what is happening and the need/purpose for having his POV is completely necessary. It helps explains things so much better and I enjoyed his POV.

‘“Because you are mine.” In between each word, he pounded into me with a strength that was amazing considering we had been going at it for some time. “Tell me you’re mine, Elizabeth. That no other man will ever be able to touch you. To taste you. To love you. Say it and I’ll et you come.”
“I’m yours. Only yours. Forever Grant,” I yelled at him, needing him to push me over the edge already.’

I have said it before (I think…or if I haven’t, then I have thought it before 🙂 )…Jessica Ingro has an insane talent for writing amazing characters that basically expel all kinds of emotion from me. Some good emotion…some bad emotion…but the fact that her characters can create such feelings from me…IMO…that’s one of the signs of a talented writer. I’m an emotional reader so if I don’t feel it…then I can’t connect…so it’s almost a given that I will always connect with Jessica’s books. And a completely random fact…I love the chapter titles in LYC. Such a minor little detail but very few authors name chapters, which is fine – it’s a personal thing but…I loved it. A lot. Like…to the point where I got excited at the end of a chapter because I couldn’t wait for that little tid bit to get me excited about the next one. Yes…I’m a dork like that.

“This is where we started, Elizabeth. You, me, and the stars. I lost my heart to you that night and I’m standing here now to tell you that you can keep it. I want you to have my heart forever.”

I’m a series lover but seriously…this was the best standalone I’ve read so far this year. LYC was a fantastic blend of sex…angst…emotion and fabulous characters. I couldn’t get enough and the ending was shear HEA bliss…which is possibly why the Epilogue is titled Bliss…coincidence? I think not. 😉 I cannot wait to see what comes out of Miss. Ingro’s head next…because it’s sure to keep me on my toes.
