Right now you’re sitting across the table from me, working hard. I love watching you type away on your laptop, adding to your latest manuscript. It’s cute how focused you are.
And while you think I’m busy planning assignments for my students, I’m actually writing you a love note, or rather a letter. You see, Valentine’s Day is coming up and I’m trying to decide what to get you, because you’ve given me so much.
You opened my eyes to a love I never thought I deserved, one I never thought I’d find. You’ve made me a husband, and a father. You’ve made me the happiest man alive.
So what does a man who has it all get his beautiful wife?
I can give you a hand to hold when you’re scared. A shoulder to cry on when you’re sad, a mouth to kiss when you need to be loved. And a pair of arms to wrap around you when you need to feel safe.
Cassie, the best gift I can give you is myself. I’ll be your world because that’s what you are to me. You amaze me every day, leaving me question how I got so lucky to be yours.
