I, Thomas Clifford Donnely, am a manwhore.
I’ve been told I’m irresistible to women. Like catnip for a different type of pussy-cat. I guess you could call me a Tom Cat.
This is the story about how I lost my wingman, broke all my own rules, and found myself falling in love.
Tom Donnelly isn’t the marrying kind, or the dating kind. Even after losing his #1 wingman to love, he doesn’t see the point in relationships. When his sister’s best friend returns to Whidbey Island and propositions Donnelly for a one-night stand, he breaks one of his biggest rules—no fooling around with his sisters’ friends. It’s just sex, nothing more. That’s what Tom does and does well.
What happens when “just sex” isn’t enough?
Hailey King is more than a match for Tom’s flirtations. She’s known him most of her life and has heard the rumors about his “skills” for years. When her perfectly planned future falls apart, will the last man she should ever fall for turn out to be more than a one-night stand?

Tall, dark, and handsome is an understatement when it comes to John Day. With rugged good looks, his ever present plaid shirt, and a dog named Babe, John is a modern alpha male lumberjack in more ways than one.
Lurking beneath the gruff exterior and beard could be the heart of a romantic. Or is John a wolf in flannel clothing?
After his favorite neighbor rents out her cabin for the winter, John finds himself playing fireman and tour guide to Diane Watson, a beautiful brunette with her own messy past and recent battle scars.
Will he be ready to fall in love? Or will he go back to his old, flirty ways?
Hold onto your heart… and get ready to fall with John Day as he tells his story in this contemporary adult romance/romantic comedy told in male POV.
Ready to Fall is the second novel in the Modern Love Stories series. This is a spin-off from Geoducks Are for Lovers. Though the books are interconnected, isn’t necessary to read that novel first.

A crumpled piece of paper covered in Tom’s handwriting Hailey finds on the floor near the kitchen garbage.
Roses are red
violets aren’t blue (at least I think they’re purple since they’re name is violet, right?)
Let’s spend the day in bed (hey, that rhymed!)
the puppy ate your shoe (that rhymes too!)
See what I did there? Made you think about sex so you won’t be mad at me or the dog. I can’t help it if he has a thing for women’s shoes. Can dogs have foot fetishes?
Poems are hard.
And so am I.
I should just stop. This was a horrible idea.
Plan B: Don’t tell Hailey how much I love her. Show her. I can ace that.
Before writing funny contemporary romances about adults, I dreamed of being an author while doing a lot of other things. Antiques dealer, baker, blue ribbon pie-maker, fangirl, freelance writer, gardener, pet mom and wife are a few of the titles I’ve acquired along the way.
Born and raised in San Diego, my husband and I currently live in a real life Stars Hollow in the Boston suburbs with our dog, Hubbell, and an imaginary house goat who remains nameless.
Geoducks are for Lovers, my debut novel in the Modern Love Stories series, is a second chance romance that mixes Reality Bites with The Big Chill.
Ready to Fall, my second novel, features John Day, the hot, sexy neighbor in my debut novel Geoducks Are for Lovers.
Missionary Position, the third novel, follows Selah Elmore, Maggie’s sexy, sassy best friend, on the adventure of a lifetime.
Confessions of a Reformed Tom Cat, my fourth novel, features “Tom Cat” Donnely, John Day’s wingman and self-declared manwhore, finally meeting his match.
All four books can be read as standalones, but are interconnected.
Look for my Modern Love Stories Shorts in various anthologies, including LOL and Red Hot sets.
I’m busy writing my next novel, which will not feature any bivalves.
