*~*Love Note: Cade to Monroe – Kiss Me That Way by Laura Trentham*~*

Title:   Kiss Me That Way (Cottonbloom Series Book #1)
Author:   Laura Trentham
Genre:   Contemporary Romance
synopsis 2 new

A river divides Cottonbloom in two: the upscale enclave on the Mississippi side and the rundown, rough and tumble side in Louisiana. They’re worlds apart—but nothing can build a bridge like love…

Cade Fournette never had it easy Cottonbloom. He stuck around long enough to raise his orphaned siblings and then hightailed it out West—and never looked back. Even though he’s made a success of himself in Seattle, Cade never lost the toughness and the angry edge that helped him survive down South. His only weak spot: the girl he left behind…

Monroe Kirby came from the wealthy side of town, but that didn’t protect her from her mother’s drinking—or her mother’s boyfriend. It was Cade who did that, on a long-ago hot September night, before he disappeared…along with a piece of her heart. Now Monroe is a physical therapist who can fight for herself, and it’s Cade who could use some conditioning when he makes an unexpected return back home. Will he and Monroe pick up where they left off and finally explore their mutual passion—or will the scars and secrets of the past divide them once more?

love note

Monroe…
Love letters aren’t my thing, babe. Give me contract any day. But you said this is all you wanted for Valentine’s so I’ll give it a shot.
Don’t they say you can’t go home? Well I sure as hell never wanted to end up back in Cottonbloom. I thought I’d shaken the river mud off my shoes for good. Seems not…
How many times did I dream about you waiting for me under that cottonwood tree? Back then, I thought you were the one that needed saving, but damn, seems like I was the one who needed you. Those nights sharing our burdens and dreams meant more than I can put into words. I never forgot.
I’d imagined you as a woman grown, but coming face-to-face with the real thing about took me out by the knees. Not that you and your black belt couldn’t make it a reality. Look, I can be overprotective and grouchy and demanding, but I love the way you take me down a peg. Hell, who am I kidding, I love everything about you.
There. You forced me get mushy and sentimental. Are you happy?
Because you’ve made me the happiest man on this side of the river, babe.
Cade

about the author new

I was born and raised in a small town in Northwest Tennessee. Although, I loved English and reading in high school, I was convinced an English degree equated to starvation! So, I chose the next most logical major – Chemical Engineering- and worked in a hard hat and steel toed boots for several years. Now I live in South Carolina with my husband and two children. In between school and homework and soccer practices, I love to get lost in another world, whether its Regency England or small town Alabama.

  1. My favorite Book Boyfriend to spend Valentine’s with would be Chase Parker from Vi Keeland’s The Bossman. Loved the book and Chase in the book. He was sexy, humorous, and romantic. He was dominant also at times.
