*~*Love Notes: Harrison to Zelda – The Hope That Starts by Heidi Hutchinson*~*

Title:  The Hope That Starts (Double Blind Study Series Book #5)
Author:  Heidi Hutchinson
Genre:  Contemporary Romance
synopsis 2 new
If there’s one thing Zelda Fitzpatrick is good at, it’s fandom. She can out-geek the geekiest. Her devotion knows no bounds. Her love is true, her motives pure. Oh, and she’s also a talented freelance photographer, newly hired to go on the road with one of her favorite bands, Double Blind Study. All she has to do is not ruin this opportunity with her nerdy references (which are in abundance) or her devout klutziness. And she probably shouldn’t fall madly in love with lead guitarist, Harrison O’Neil… who is taken. Unfortunately.

love note

My Zeldy,

You’re sleeping right now and I wasn’t there to rub your feet before you went to bed. I’m more sorry than you know about that. Stop thinking I’m being ridiculous and un-arch the eyebrow. I’ll allowed to have a mini-breakdown. This is my first night away from you since I got you back. It’s kind of a big deal.

I should be looking forward to tomorrow. Playing Wembley is always an honor, but without you here, it’s just… less.

Which is why I’m awake and writing an email to my pregnant wife half a world away. I still don’t understand why pregnant women can’t fly in their third trimester. What’s the real threat? Time head?

No, really. I need to know. Will the baby have Time Head? Because I think that’s something we need to look into.

Ugh. I miss you. I think everyone misses the me I am with you, too. I’ve been nuts—annoying, clingy, hungrier than usual. Sway made me a sandwich today. I ate it (I was starving), but I didn’t enjoy it. Without you, food is just part of survival. But it doesn’t hold any joy.

All I can think about is getting home and seeing you. Holding you. Kissing you.

Loving you.

I had no idea how love multiplies (and I’m not just talking about making more people, though that’s part of it). It just keeps growing. Sometimes I think my heart can’t hold it all and maybe it’ll explode. But then it adjusts and grows too.

Bigger on the inside.

Do you suppose we’re different? Is love this fantastic for everyone? Because if it was like this for everyone, this world would be in a lot better shape.

I can’t wait to see you again.

Two more shows and I’m coming home to you.

My heart. My life. My love.

Harrison

about the author newHeidi Hutchinson was born in South Dakota and raised the exact right distance away from the Black Hills. She had an overactive imagination very early on, and wasted no time in getting most of her friends in trouble due to her unrealistic and completely ridiculous ideas. Seeing as she was so lazy and also afraid people would think she was bonkers, she didn’t write down any of the story lines that played out in her daydreams.

During her high school years, she took pen to paper and filled more notebooks than she is proud of with angsty, depressing, self-deprecating poetry. This led to her writing down more things: notes, ideas, character bios, plot twists that had no plot yet to twist. After years of cleaning up her own scraps of imagination with nothing solid to hold on to, she sat down and wrote the story that had been in her head the longest. Fueled by coffee and her unwavering and perfectly normal devotion to Dave Grohl, she discovered a writer living inside of her.

She still lives in the Midwest, though not as close to the Black Hills as she would prefer, with her alarmingly handsome husband and their fearless child. They eat more pizza than God intended and she listens to her music the same way she lives: loudly.
