A hot hook-up in a cold beer cooler changes everything…

When wealthy brewery owner Austin Fitzgerald meets sexy saleswoman Evelyn Benedict, angry sparks fly. They seem destined to clash, until a hot hook-up in a cold beer cooler changes everything.

For Austin, it’s a life-altering moment that sets him on a path away from his birthright, while Evelyn must face her fears about committing to a man considered the playboy of the micro-brewing world.

The power of preconceived notions nearly tears them apart—until they meet up with brew master Ross, who opens their eyes to a deeper, even more erotic connection.

But three strong personalities don’t always make for the best emotional mix and when a simple misunderstanding causes chaos, it’s up to Ross to repair the tattered shreds of their relationship.

Reader Advisory: This book contains scenes of explicit sex, including scenes of M/M intimacy.

love note

Evelyn,

Ok, I decided to calm down, per your explicit instructions, and write out a few words relative to our…ah…discussion at four a.m.

First of all, please know that I’m never more in love with you than when you’re red-faced and yelling at me. One of the many things that drew me to you in the first place, if you recall, was your attitude. Maybe I’m a sucker for punishment, but if I were given back the moment that I decided that I wanted to kiss you to get things rolling, the only thing I’d change would be to do it sooner. As I stared up at the ceiling in my study this morning, after being summarily evicted from my bedroom two hours before I had to get up anyway, I’ll admit I was angry. But the thing about us is that we complement each other in so many scary ways—one of them being that you know me, dare I say and risk cliche, better than I know myself.

You are entirely, 100% correct, in other words.

There, I said it. And I don’t care who hears me or tries to claim my man card over it. Being willing to admit I was wrong about something so damn important to you—to us—makes me more of a man than any car repair, plumbing, or other handy work (that we both know I suck at, royally). We’ve been through so much together, and apart, I’m willing to own this one, my dearest dessert blossom. IF it means we can move on with our lives now.

I can hear you already (see: we know each other too well above). “Oh you’re just saying that to get me to shut up about it.” I assure you that I’m not, although shutting up about this would be high on my list of things I’d like right now. It’s tearing us apart. It’s hurting you. And that is one thing I do NOT, ever, ever want to do again. So, make the appointment and let me know when it is so I can get it on my calendar. Because I do want to have a baby with you, Evelyn. I want Rose to have a brother or sister. I want to grow our family, to share what we’ve worked so hard for together. Per your instructions to me at approximately three a.m., I’ll stop denying it, and tell you the damn truth. I just don’t want you to endure more heartache or unhappiness, that’s all. If you say this doctor can work the miracle we’re seeking, let’s go for it. ASAP.

I adore you. But my back is killing me right now after two hours on the couch so I’m gonna head to the gym to work out, take a shower and go to the brewery, leaving behind my little written out admission and sincere hope that you will accept my apology for pretending that I didn’t want any more kids. Which, as you said (a lot, if I recall), only makes you feel like a fool. I’m not doing that anymore, Evelyn. And I’m here for you, every step of the way, whatever it takes, to get our sweet Rosie a sibling.

Love

Your man-card-wielding husband,

Austin

about the author new

Amazon best-selling author, mom of three, Realtor, beer blogger, brewery marketing expert, and soccer fan, Liz Crowe is a Kentucky native and graduate of the University of Louisville currently living in Ann Arbor. She has decades of experience in sales and fund raising, plus an eight-year stint as a three-continent, ex-pat trailing spouse.
Her early forays into the publishing world led to a groundbreaking fiction hybrid, “Unconventional Romance. Worth the Risk,” which has gained thousands of fans and followers interested less in the “HEA” and more in the “WHA” (“What Happens After?”).
With stories set in the not-so-common worlds of breweries, on the soccer pitch, in successful real estate offices and at times in exotic locales like Istanbul, Turkey, her books are unique and told with a fresh voice. The Liz Crowe backlist has something for any reader seeking complex storylines with humor and complete casts of characters that will delight, frustrate and linger in the imagination long after the book is finished.
Don’t ever ask her for anything “like a Budweiser” or risk bodily injury.
