You were sleeping so peacefully, and I didn’t want to wake you, so I figured I’d buy myself time writing this. It’s no secret I’ve never done this before. The holidays or any major events, especially not Valentine’s day—it’s not me.
After my mother, I avoided anything that made me feel. I blocked out anything that threatened to steal that black abyss from me. But that was until you came into my life. This innocent, beautifully broken woman that I wanted nothing more than to put back together. You have a strength in you that rivals my own. You’re a warrior. Fierce and utterly captivating. You’ve always been my white rose Sophia. Pure and innocent at heart and vibrant in your depths.
I showed you once you weren’t as broken as you thought you were. You were merely healing, overcoming your demons with much more strength than anyone I’ve ever met.
