The day I met you, sitting there in Café du Monde, you looked so out of place. There was a darkness from your past and it covered you in shadows. But I saw through that. I saw the last of your light, the tiny spark burning in your heart. I knew I could change it, maybe bring you back to life. What I didn’t count on, is how much you would change me.
Without even trying, you introduced me to the notion of love. I mean the deep-seeded, only experience once, life-risking, pulse-racing kind of love. Even after all this time, the mere sight of you or sound of your voice makes me smile.
We have been through so much together. So much danger and destruction, rebirth and renewal and we are only stronger for it. Nothing will ever lessen my feelings for you. I will love you until the end of my days. And in my next life, I will find you again so that I can love you for eternity.
