Title:  Mists of the Serengeti
Author:  Leylah Attar
Genre:  Contemporary Romance, Women’s Fiction
synopsis 2 new

Once in Africa, I kissed a king…

“And just like that, in an old red barn at the foothills of Mount Kilimanjaro, I discovered the elusive magic I had only ever glimpsed between the pages of great love stories. It fluttered around me like a newly born butterfly and settled in a corner of my heart. I held my breath, afraid to exhale for fear it would slip out, never to be found again.”

When a bomb explodes in a mall in East Africa, its aftershocks send two strangers on a collision course that neither one sees coming.

Jack Warden, a divorced coffee farmer in Tanzania, loses his only daughter. An ocean away, in the English countryside, Rodel Emerson loses her only sibling.

Two ordinary people, bound by a tragic afternoon, set out to achieve the extraordinary, as they make three stops to rescue three children across the vast plains of the Serengeti—children who are worth more dead than alive.

But even if they beat the odds, another challenge looms at the end of the line. Can they survive yet another loss—this time of a love that’s bound to slip through their fingers, like the mists that dissipate in the light of the sun?

“Sometimes you come across a rainbow story—one that spans your heart. You might not be able to grasp it or hold on to it, but you can never be sorry for the color and magic it brought.”

about the author new

Leylah Attar writes stories about love – shaken, stirred and served with a twist. When she’s not writing, she can be found pursuing her other passions: photography, food, family and travel. 1. So many but lately I am really into contemporary romances. The bride test was really good. Haven’t read ms. Attar’s book yet but sounds good.

  2. There are so many books that touched me so deeply! One of them was Sacrifice by Adriana Locke. Part of plot was so close to home!

  3. An unforgettable read for me is The Wild by K. Webster. It pushed my boundaries and was written so well.

  4. I have to say 2 books Iniquity by Emery LeeAnn and Untouchable by Sam Mariano

  5. Gabriel’s Treasure by DM Earl, the story hit close to home and so many emotions.

  6. An unforgettable read for me is one that you can’t stop thinking about even after you have read it..One that gives you every emotion you can think of…There have been so many for me it would be impossible to list them all…But the Most recent one is
    Another sky by Jayne Frost

  7. Love the gorgeous cover. For me an unforgettable read is a book that stays with me long after I have moved on to other books. In Cold Blood by Truman Capote is a great example. Since it was based on a true story, it compelled me to do further research into the event. Thanks!

  8. There are a lot of good choices here but I’m going to go with the Bronze Horseman.

  9. Mine would be Learning to Breathe by Marisa Oldham. What an amazing and heartbreaking read. Still leaves me with all kinds of emotions.

  10. A story which I can’t stop reading, can’t put down, and when I do, I can hardry wait to pick up again and continue reading. And I do love emotional and action filled stories.

  11. My top 3 most memorable reads are Always by Kindle Alexander, A Thousand Boy Kisses by Tillie Cole and It Ends with Us by Colleen Hoover.

  12. Actually, Mists of the Serengeti was one of them! I need a reread soon <3 From other authors, I'll never forget how much Tarryn Fisher's The Opportunist made me feel (the whole Love Me with Lies series was outstanding), or Colleen Hoover's It Ends with Us and All Your Perfects as well <3

  13. One of my favorite unforgettable books are Leaving Paradise & Return to Paradise by Simone Elkeles. Thanks for the chance!❤
