As I watched you work on valentines for all the little hooligans in your class, I couldn’t resist writing you your own. I love watching you work. The way your nose scrunches when you concentrate, how you blow the strands of hair away from your eyes when they fall free of your bun, the way your shirt dips just so…and I can see the hint of those breasts I love so much. Who am I kidding? I love watching you any time I can steal a glance.
Are you blushing yet? I hope that adorable pink is hitting your cheeks while you read this in the teacher’s lounge over your lunch. I hope no one is reading over your shoulder. You might want to check.
I’m so damn proud of you for going after your dreams, for filling your students’ lives with love and care and learning. I know your road hasn’t always been an easy one, but that pain has given you empathy. And that empathy has allowed you to guide each child you teach down the path that was just right for them.
I know you’ll do the same for our own little one. You’re taking such good care of him (all right or her) already. Giving up your precious coffee and eating all that kale you’re always cursing about. There’s no better feeling than wrapping my arms around you and feeling our baby grow in your belly.
