New Orleans firefighter, James Reynaud’s true love is hanging out in the jazz clubs on Frenchmen Street and playing piano with some of the best musicians in the city. But driving his cute, bookworm neighbor Harper Broussard crazy is right up there on his list of favorite things.
The buttoned-up linguistics professor across the hall is a little older, a lot smarter, and way too good for him. And she knows it. But wow is she beautiful when she blushes.
She’s equally gorgeous when she’s saving his butt. Because now things just got serious. A baby has been, literally, dropped off on his doorstep and to say he’s in over his head is an understatement. Not that Harper knows anything about babies either. But at least they now have something in common.

Author: Erin Nicholas
Genre: Contemporary Romance
Hot fling or real thing? There are no Big Easy answers in New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Erin Nicholas’s sultry series.
As far as flings go, single dad Gabe Trahan is pretty sure that Addison Sloan is his best bet. Once a month, Addison comes to New Orleans and then…It. Is. On. Until Addison returns to New York, it’s just hot, happily-no-strings-attached sex. And beignets. And jazz. But lately for Gabe, it isn’t nearly enough.
Sure, maybe Addison’s gotten a bit hooked on Gabe. After all, who can resist a guy who’s so sexy, so charming, and so… available? But maybe he’s too available for her right now. Addison’s just moved to New Orleans, and relationships are definitely off the table. Besides, guys always bail when they learn her secret: she’s a single mom.
Only Gabe’s not running. Worse, he’s thrilled. But Addison never signed up for ever-after romance, and Gabe won’t settle for anything less. Now it’s a battle of wills — and when it comes to the woman he’s falling for, Gabe isn’t above playing a little dirty.
Title: Taking It Easy (Boys of the Big Easy Series Book #2)
Author: Erin Nicholas
Genre: Contemporary Romance
Logan Trahan is one of the French Quarter’s hottest bartenders. A single, charming, sexy southern boy who’s proud to pour the best Pimm’s Cup in town. Yes, that’s his biggest accomplishment. So what?
Dana Doucet is a widowed mom of two who’s doing it all. And doing it well, thank you very much. But she had a moment — okay, an entire night — of weakness and gave in after, ironically, nine months of Logan’s naughty flirtations. And a couple of those Pimm’s Cups.
It was just one night, but now they’re stuck with each other forever. Or at least for the next eighteen years, eight months, and one week. Not that she’s counting.
Well, this is definitely big. But there’s no way it’s going to be easy.

James sure does love his Professor…
Keep reading to see the full Love Note!
Dear Professor, the most gorgeous, too-good-for-me, Know-It-All I’ve ever met,
I don’t suppose you know anything about Valentine’s Day?
I’m sure you do—like the full history of its origins or something– but I’ve already looked a bunch of stuff up without you even telling me to.
For instance, did you know that every year, more than thirty-six million heart shaped boxes of chocolates are sold across the country? Thirty-six freaking million. And those are just the heart shaped ones. And very year, nine million people buy their pets a Valentine’s Day gift?? Yeah, I’m contributing to that. Alreadygot Fred some heart-shaped dog treats. Henry’s getting some stuff too. I got him strawberries. I don’t know, they just seemed more holiday appropriate than crickets and worms.
And, Professor, did you know that teachersreceive the most Valentine’s Day cards, followed by kids, mothers, wives and girlfriends? That makes sense. Teachers are hot 😉And I mean, I get to cover two bases… teacher and girlfriend in one.
But seriously, Harper, I love you. I can’t imagine growing an olive tree without you (or a ficus tree for that matter). I can’t imagine walking into the living room and not seeing you curled up with Fred on my couch. Want to know something that will sound creepy, but that I totally mean as a compliment? It’s strangely hot to watch you walking around with Henry on your shoulder. Who knew that watching a cute girl feeding bugs to a bearded dragon could be a turn-on? And you with baby Isaac? And, hell, Sophie and everyone else that needs us? Lady, you make me melt. Every damned day.
So, Happy Valentine’s Day. Thank you for not only loving me (I mean, I’m not sure that was really avoidable), but for loving all of the people and things and craziness in my life. You make it all so much better. Thank you for opening your door to me that first time. And every time after that.
And, by the way… I don’t suppose you know anything about baby alligators? Or hedgehogs? Or, um…otters? Yes, otters.
No, I’m not really asking for a friend. Or for fun. Yeah, we need to talk.
Just remember…I love you. Very, very much.
Oh, and I did buy you chocolate. And wine. Lots of wine.
xoxo,
James
