Dear Charlotte,
Valentine’s Day is one of those holidays where we’re both swamped, and we can’t seem to get a minute to ourselves.
But, that’s life, right? I suggest we celebrate on February 15th instead. Let’s start our own holiday just for us. Centuries of literary masters tell us to love loudly and boldly. I don’t know what’s more bold and loud than declaring our own holiday just for us.
You’re helping dozens of lovebirds by creating gorgeous floral masterpieces. I’m helping the high school students construct poignant love letters to their crushes. We’re doing Cupid’s work if you think about it.
But, we need a little time for us too. It’s just delayed a day.
I hope you’ll join me for a delightfully romantic dinner at Notte’s where I’ve booked a table for two. The good news is we’ll have almost the entire restaurant to ourselves, because everyone else has already celebrated.
Yours,
Henry
