Hey Baby, 

Did I tell you that I’d never celebrated Valentine’s Day before I met you? Unless you count the card I give my twin every year, this was a day that passed like every other.

I know you’re probably laughing in disbelief given that I treat it like a national holiday – which one day, I hope it will be. 

 I love you every day. Every night that I go to sleep knowing that I’ve lived another day as your husband, is worth celebrating.  But I never get to do more than send you flowers, or write you a quick note, or call you to say hi.  

Some nights, we’re both so tired from chasing our dreams and raising our family that the most we can manage is a brief touch our toes under the comforter, with sometimes two little bodies between us, before we fall asleep.  

So, I’m crazy about having a day where I’m encouraged to spend time showing you, and everyone else, how much I love you. 

I waited half my life to be able to do that. So, I can be forgiven for going overboard. 

Don’t worry, I didn’t hire a skywriter this year. 

I’ve found more subtle ways to remind you how I feel. 

You’re the love of my life, Kalilah Wilde. You’re the heartbeat of our family and the source of my greatest joy.
