Title: The Wrong Game
Author: Kandi Steiner
Genre: Contemporary Romance
Two season tickets.
One genius idea.
Zero interest in a relationship. The plan is simple: a brand new, hot, preferably funny, definitely single male will fill one of those seats for every Bears game at Soldier Field. And I’ll fill the other.
I can’t think of a better way to use the season passes I’d bought for my ex-husband. I am a woman of plans, and this one’s foolproof.
Until Zach Bowen offers to be my practice round.
He’s infuriating. Presumptuous and overbearing. And absolutely, undeniably gorgeous. Any woman with a heartbeat would be attracted to him, and mine picks up speed every time he speaks.
But as I said, I’m a woman of plans — and I’m not backing down on this one.
One night. One game. And then, his time’s up.
He can try to change the rules, but here’s the truth: he can’t win if he’s playing the wrong game.
The Wrong Game is a stand-alone, angsty, enemies-to-lovers sports romance.
Oh my goodness, Zach is seriously the best!

Gemma,
I know how miserable you’ve been the past two months, and I’m sorry. If I could, I’d take up every position on the Chicago Bears team and win more games for us. It was a disappointing season, but don’t worry — we’ll get ‘em next year!
I also know you’ve been a little stressed out lately for other reasons… ahem… planning our wedding. I never thought I’d see you more serious about something than you are about your hot dogs and football, but then I put a ring on that finger of yours, and I witnessed a whole other side to your planner passion.
This letter is just a reminder that no matter what color the bridesmaid dresses are or what flavor the cake or which way you do your hair or which venue we choose or whether we have a band or a DJ or whether we do a seated dinner or a buffet, the only thing that truly matters to me is that you’ll be the one walking down that aisle.
And I’ll be the lucky son of a bitch waiting for you at the end of it.
So, let’s get out of the city tonight. Pack a bag (and maybe that cheerleading uniform, if you’re feeling generous…) and meet me downstairs at seven. There’s a tent in a field in the middle of nowhere under a sea of stars calling our name, and we’re answering.
Just me and you.
Seriously — tell Belle to get a hobby.
I’ll be back soon, just ran to grab essentials… you know, a lantern, some sleeping bags, hot dogs (don’t worry, I won’t forget the ketchup and cheese), s’mores supplies, a portable battery robust enough to keep the laptop running Netflix, and, of course, a bottle of wine the size of our heads put together.
I love you, Gemma.
Happy Valentine’s Day.
And don’t you dare pack the wedding planning binder.
Your fiancé,
Zach

Kandi Steiner is a bestselling author and whiskey connoisseur living in Tampa, FL. Best known for writing “emotional rollercoaster” stories, she loves bringing flawed characters to life and writing about real, raw romance — in all its forms. No two Kandi Steiner books are the same, and if you’re a lover of angsty, emotional, and inspirational reads, she’s your gal.
An alumna of the University of Central Florida, Kandi graduated with a double major in Creative Writing and Advertising/PR with a minor in Women’s Studies. She started writing back in the 4th grade after reading the first Harry Potter installment. In 6th grade, she wrote and edited her own newspaper and distributed to her classmates. Eventually, the principal caught on and the newspaper was quickly halted, though Kandi tried fighting for her “freedom of press.” She took particular interest in writing romance after college, as she has always been a die hard hopeless romantic, and likes to highlight all the challenges of love as well as the triumphs.
When Kandi isn’t writing, you can find her reading books of all kinds, talking with her extremely vocal cat, and spending time with her friends and family. She enjoys live music, traveling, anything heavy in carbs, beach days, movie marathons, craft beer and sweet wine — not necessarily in that order.
