Title: The Husband Checklist
Author: Jasmin Miller
Genre: Contemporary Romance
There are moments when you think life is going one way and a major curveball sends you the complete opposite direction. That’s me, standing in the rain, wondering how things went so terribly wrong.
What do I need? To hide at my brother’s house to lick my wounds.
What do I get? My brother’s roommate, sexy-as-sin best friend, Carter Kennedy.
The cute, adventurous boy who was my teenage crush. The inspiring, irresistible man who will never be mine.
But then things get complicated with fun-filled days and pleasure-filled nights.
If Carter wasn’t the most commitment-phobic person I know, I could consider the cliché of dating my brother’s best friend. But he will never fit the husband checklist I made to find the man who will be my world, and I’m not willing to compromise on that.

Hey babe,
Valentine’s Day is coming up, and I couldn’t be more excited. Not only will this be our first one together, but it’s also the month we’ll welcome our baby into this world. He isn’t due on Valentine’s day, but close enough that we can call him our V-day baby.
I know this isn’t the first time you hear this, but I wanted to put it on paper. You are so fucking gorgeous, kind, and talented. Beautiful inside and out. Sometimes when I wake up before you, I just lie there and stare at your stunning face and can’t believe you’re mine. MINE. No one else’s.
And I know you’ll be the best mom out there. Our baby is so incredibly lucky to call you his too, just like he’ll be ours. I like the sound of that. OURS. And soon you’ll be officially mine. Forever. Well, if you finally agree on a wedding date that is. But we’ll get there, we always do.
Now let me say one more cheesy thing because I’m on a roll.
Thank you for being by my side. Thank you for being exactly what I need. Thank you for loving me.
Happy Valentine’s baby.
I love you.
Carter
PS. What do you think about a Vegas-themed wedding since it holds special memories for us? What happened in Vegas definitely did not stay in Vegas with us. Thank goodness.
