We’ve been living together for six months now, and it’s the first Valentine’s Day where I was able to plan a romantic date for us. I’ve always wanted to wow you, all those other years that we ended up watching action movies on my couch because you thought it was too cliche to watch a romance. During those movies, I thought of all the ways I could have surprised you, blown your mind with what a romantic badass I am.
And here we are. First official Valentines Day. You’re curled up in bed, snoring like a friggin lumberjack, surrounded by those cough drops you like and a million balled up tissues on the floor. This momentous, romantic day to celebrate love… and I’m on the couch with the dog.
But you know what? It’s perfect. I’ll take any day with you- sick, healthy, happy, hangry, sad, or silly. It could be a day of ruined plans, and it’ll still be the best day, with the best person.

Well, let’s see … I’m a wife and a mother. If the things that I write bring a smile to someone’s face, then I’ve done my job. I am obsessed with Outlander (both the books and the show). I’m almost exclusively a romance reader, which means some people will never consider me a literary snob. If I could meet one historical figure, it would be Jane Austen. I received my Bachelors in Public Relations and worked in health care marketing before I had my babies. I hate Twitter. I do it, but I hate it.
