Title: The Bookworm’s Guide to Dating (The Bookworm’s Guide Series Book #1)
Author: Emma Hart
Genre: Contemporary Romance
What I wanted for my birthday: Books.
What I got for my birthday: my brother’s best friend playing matchmaker.
Let it be known that I, Kinsley Lane, am one hundred percent against being set up with somebody.
And I’m one thousand percent sure that Josh Carter is not the man to find me a boyfriend.
I mean, if I’m so great, why isn’t he the one dating me? (For the record, I don’t know the answer. That’s just what the guy on the internet asked.)
Still, I’ll humor him. If I go on his little dates, he’ll teach my bookish, introverted self how not to be totally, completely, utterly, unforgivably awkward on every single one of them.
And all I have to do is fall in love with one of the lovely gentlemen he’s serving up for me on a silver platter—all of whom fit my very specific guidelines.
Simple, right?
It would be.
If only I could stop falling for Josh.

Dear Kinsley,
I’m not really sure why I’m writing this. Honestly, Saylor guilted me into it, but I think that’s some kind of dumbass revenge for you and Holley making her be a part of the stupid blind date thing you’re doing.
I don’t know why she’s punishing me for it, but here I am.
Writing this.
So, uh, yeah.
Tumbleweed…
Fucking hell. I’m not good with words. You know that. If I were, maybe I’d have told you how I really felt sooner than I did. But I’m glad I didn’t, because if I did, maybe we wouldn’t have made it.
If I’d told you that I love you when you graduated high school, maybe you would have ignored me. You had so much to achieve, and you did it all. Your degree is a part of who you are, and if I’d told you, I wonder if I would have held you back.
I’m glad.
I’m glad I never told you. I’m glad that I loved you in silence, because loving you in silence meant I got to watch you be who you were always meant to be. And I love who you are more than anything in this fucking world.
As long as you know that, it’s okay.
You’re my favourite person. Ever.
Even if my cheek still hurts where your brother punched me six months ago.
I love you so much,
Love, Josh
