Dear Viola,
Since this Valentine’s Day is happening on a concert day, I can’t take you out on a fancy date, but I wanted to do something to make it a little bit special. You’ve probably discovered the box of Belgian chocolates tucked into your bag alongside this note. And in the envelope is a voucher for a hot air balloon ride when we get back home.
For a long time before you dropped into my life, I didn’t really have a home. I had a condo, and I had my bandmates, but home is more than a place, it’s a feeling. Now that you’re here, wherever you are is home. And even though we got off to a rocky start, I’m so glad you gave me a chance. You’ve made me a better version of myself, and for that I will love you forever.
