Not going to lie (and that’s saying something for an entertainment lawyer), I had my doubts about you.
I thought you were just another soulless monster waltzing into L.A. hell-bent on destruction. I was playing the lead role in a glitzy world of fakes, you see, to protect what was left of my heart, and I was terrified you were going to see right through my act.
But despite my best effort, you saw the real man. The man who could give two shits about the money and the connections, the depravity and excess. And as it turned out, I was right to be afraid. Because you did destroy me.
