In honor of our last Valentine’s Day as a family of three, Piper and I have planned the following itinerary for you:

Sleep until noon.
(As it is already nearly eleven, you are doing quite well. My son in your belly seems to be helping with that)

Brunch in Bed. (Strictly PG version as Piper has made it clear that she intends to help you eat everything on your tray. You will be enjoying a feast of gummy worms, Swedish fish, and strawberry ice cream. (I suggested pancakes with strawberries and whipped cream, but she had other ideas. There’s a bagel and cream cheese hiding in your closet though.)

Spa afternoon, courtesy of Piper. In case you can’t see your toes anymore, they will be red. (Given the obvious theme of the day, this is shocking, I know.)

By five, your parents are picking Piper up for a sleepover. I have strict orders to spend the rest of the night showering you with your favorite things. According to her, these are: bubble baths, lobster rolls, and arts and crafts projects. (I think it’s about time we make another naked painting together, don’t you?)
You, my love, are my favorite thing. You and Piper and the son we’ll meet soon.
You’ve given me a world, Viv. An entire universe.
Our first summer together was filled with lies. But somehow, we’ve built a life of love.
Happy Valentine’s Day, Viv. I love you even more today than I did yesterday. And though it feels impossible now, I will love you even more tomorrow than I do today.
