What happens when you want more in life than just running the bases?
You hang out at home plate and stop playing the field.
He’s sexy and irresistible. I’ve done my best to ignore the magnetism that flows between us. I don’t need complications in my life. I can’t get wrapped up in his world, the last thing I need is to get attached to a professional athlete. I don’t have time for heartbreak.
Something about her pulls me in. I want to get to know her. I want a chance to show her I’m more than just my career, my paycheck. I’m the man for her. I know I am. No matter how much she resists this connection between us. It doesn’t change the fact that she’s my grand slam.

Larissa,
As I sit here writing this letter, I have a smile on my face. I’ve been thinking about how we met and how you and Paisley stole my heart. When you took my last name, you made me a happy man. However, you also made me a daddy to three beautiful daughters. We’re now grandparents, and my heart is so full it could burst. Thank you for this life, for your love, and for our family.
In case you’re wondering about the point of this letter, well, that’s easy. I have a surprise for you. We’re going on a second honeymoon. Yes, you read that right. I’m taking you away with me for a three-week European cruise. Our daughters are grown, intelligent, beautiful, responsible young women, and it’s time we let them fly. Okay, so maybe not fly too far. I’ve already talked to Drew, and he’s going to be checking in with each of them daily. Yes, I’m aware that Paisley is married and a mom now too, and that Holden is taking great care of Parker, and I know that Paisley is happy and that Griffin is looking out for her. However, no matter how old they get or how many babies they have of their own, they are still my babies too. They will forever be my princess, my duchess, and my lady, and you, my lovely life, will forever be my queen.
So, pack your bags, sweetheart. We’re going on an adventure, just the two of us—pack light. I plan on keeping you indisposed as much as humanly possible. I’ve already packed my bags and have them stored in the hall closet. The girls are all here, and they’re waiting to say goodbye. Our car arrives in thirty minutes. You’ve got packing to do.
All my love,
Easton
