I lost her.
No, I didn’t lose her. I threw her away.
She was my best friend.
I was never supposed to fall in love with her.
I was careless.
She was heartbroken.
I was doing fine until she came back into my life and reminded me what love was supposed to feel like.
When it’s all said and done, she may not want to stay, but this time I’m going to do everything in my power to not let her go.

He was my older brother’s best friend.
He was never supposed to be mine.
I thought we would get it out of our system and move on.One of us did.
One of us left.Now he’s back, looking at me like he wants to devour me. And all those feelings I’d turned into anger are brewing into something else, something that terrifies me.
He broke my heart last time. This time he’ll obliterate it.

You ran away from me today. Not purposely, of course. You didn’t see me leaning against the palm tree as you rested your head on his shoulder. Funny how such a simple gesture can produce such pain in my heart. I’m not sure if I’ll send this to you, or if you’ll read it, but I wanted to tell you (in case he didn’t), that you looked beautiful in that orange dress. I wish it was my shoulder your head was on. I wish it was my hand caressing your back. Happy Valentine’s Day, Road Runner. I’ll never stop loving you or wishing you were mine again. Once again, I’m sorry for everything.
