Summertime … and the living is easy.

Okay, so maybe that’s a tad dramatic, but after spending all the time I want with Jonathan during the school year—playing music and helping him fill out the rest of his album—being separated is harder than I expected.
We manage to convince my parents to let me visit him in California for two weeks. But they have stipulations. My older sister has to come with me as a chaperone, and if we’re staying in Jonathan’s apartment, then he has to stay at his parents’ house.

I have spent pretty much our entire relationship putting my feelings for you into words and music. But even though I wrote them with you in mind, always wanting you to be the first to hear and see them, they’ve all ended up being shared with the public.
So for our wedding day, I wanted to write down my feelings once again. Just for you. With no intention of sharing them with the wider world.
I had no idea what an adventure I was starting that day I approached you in the campus coffee shop. I know I’ve said that before, but it’s still as true as ever. And even though we’ve had our share of ups and downs, I wouldn’t have it any other way. I’m so excited to marry you today and take the next step in our journey together.
