How hard can it possibly be to write you a love letter? That’s what I tell myself as I sit here, pen and paper ready. I mean, I know how much I’m in love with you. I feel it everyday in every heartbeat. It’s a constant reminder that I’m alive, because without you, there would be an echoing emptiness in my chest vast enough to swallow the whole world.
You laugh, but I told you, without you, I am nothing. I do not exist. I do not want to. I would choose the end willingly and without hesitation.
Let me start over. I feel I might have gone off track.
You walk alongside me, your tiny hand clasped in mine. Its fragility is the only thing keeping me from squeezing to hard in my desperate attempts to keep you from vanishing.
I have never known a fear could become an obsession. Yet you can’t take three steps without my insides wrenching. My sanity usually follows on the heels of madness, the two mocking me.
Any moment, I could blink, I could fall asleep, I could avert my eyes for just a second and you could be gone.
No one understands. How can they? There is no name for this sickness, no cure. It is as real and paralyzing as my need to touch you, to hold you. It’s never long enough, tight enough. The world could return to sand and ashes and I will want to remain coiled in your arms.
Maybe that makes me weak. Maybe that makes me no better than a teenage girl, but I don’t know how to be anything else. I only know how to be what you need. I have no desire to be anything else.
I never told you that. Even without our link, I know you would get quiet on the outside while your insides crumble around you. You will blame yourself. You will blame Garrison and Ashton. You will blame our blood, our DNA.
But I don’t blame anyone.

I love you with a sort of definite infinity that reveles the oceans, the sky. It’s endless, bottomless, a vast expanse much too large and much too small. When I think of you, it’s with colors so vivid and wild, they have no name for they can’t be seen by the human eye. I think of freedom, of that first gasp of air after nearly drowning.
You are my everything, Fallon. I only ask for an eternity by your side to prove it.
