*~*Love Notes: Fox to Sophie – Fox by S.M. Lumetta*~*

What’s a little sex between friends?
Sophie Fordham never thought much about motherhood until her body forced her to. With the onset of early menopause, she knows if she wants to have a baby, it’s now or never. So what’s a single, financially-strapped girl to do? Go with what you know, of course.
Fox Monkhouse has been Sophie’s gorgeous best friend since preschool. This sun-kissed surfer boy has no shortage of ladies, but she’s hoping he’ll put that aside to help her out. As there’s never been anything romantic between the two, things get awkward when she asks him to put a bun in her oven—especially since it has to be done the old-fashioned, no-pants dance way.
When Fox agrees to do the deed, Sophie is ecstatic. But she soon realizes that this chance at a baby could cost her everything. Keeping sex and emotions separate is clearly not in her wheelhouse especially when her best friend is involved. If their relationship can’t evolve into something new, their unusual arrangement could destroy the friendship of a lifetime.
And the second book in the series, Doc, releases in two days!

Nora Bennett doesn’t need a man.
She is sure of this—except perhaps when it comes to the sexy stack of Aussie that is her ex-fling, Declan “Doc” Wellesley. He’s the one she can’t quite shake loose. And when her emotions go unexpectedly haywire after her best friend becomes a mother, her lingering connection with Doc becomes even harder to ignore.
Doc has a thorn in his paw when it comes to Nora. She’s the one that got away. The sex was hot, their chemistry off the charts, and he’s convinced there were—and still are—sparks of something deeper.
Even as Doc convinces a skittish Nora to give dating him another try, she confounds and confuses him every step of the way. One minute their connection is amazing, but then, Nora withdraws.
As Nora tries to shove Doc away once and for all, she tips her hand, revealing a dark secret. This forces her to realize there are only two options: face her past and embrace her man, or risk losing him for good.
I think I just fell in love with Fox!

Lolls,
This Valentine’s Day feels extra special for me. I never cared about it before, and why would I? I was committed to no one but myself. Until you. Except, it was always you.
You are my best friend. It took me a couple of decades to tell you that, but frankly, it’s been true since we were kids. I’ve been set up to love you my entire life.
As if loving me back wasn’t enough, you’ve now given me a son (and maybe a sibling for the H-man someday? Please don’t get mad at me for hoping, or hide the PlayStation controls again). You may have asked me to “give” him to you first, but what I realize is that you’ve never asked me for more than you felt I wanted to give. Never. Not as your soon-to-be husband, and most absolutely not in friendship.
So I want you to know that this means everything to me — all of it: you, Henry, our life together. In a couple months, I’ll officially promise to make sure you never regret choosing me, asking me, being with me.
Have I told you how happy you made me by saying “yes?” I can’t describe it in words — this from the “I don’t need a girlfriend” jackass I used to be, right? Dammit, I think I just screwed up this letter. Okay, reboot: Thank you for agreeing to marry me, for being my all-time best partner in crime. I love you. Happy Sappy-Ass Valentine’s Day.
Yours always (whether you like it or not),
Fox
P.S. If you feel like getting naked after you read this, I’m totally down.

I was born in Detroit, MI, and now reside in Brooklyn, NY. Since I was small, I have adored storytelling in all its forms, especially books and films. Sooner and later (yes, both), I figured out that since my love of words was overwhelming, I had no choice but to take the words in mind and put them onto paper, ebook, and the like. Romance is my favorite read, generally, but horror and crime novels are a close second. I have plans for future books in both of the former two genres, among others. I also have a plethora of unnecessary t-shirts, a penchant for sarcasm, and a unholy love for the oxford comma.

Awww!!! I love it! Fox is my favorite book-boyfriend, aside of Blake Turner from Celeste Grande’s LIVE ME.
