Dear Starlight,

I find it hilarious that you walk through these halls and think you’re invisible. You assume that your presence isn’t as impactful as the night sky shining overhead, or a few storm clouds blowing in, offering shade on a hot as fuck day.

I see you. I feel you.

I never stop, and that’s annoying as fuck.

I think that’s why I stay away from you and watch from afar, because up close you’re like fire and a burst of starlight.

Beautiful, dangerous…consuming.

I don’t know if what I feel for you is love, I don’t even know how to love…sometimes I fear that It’s more…that it’s obsession because you’re in my head when I fall asleep, when I lay awake staring at my ceiling and if I’m lucky enough to sleep; running through my mind when I wake up.

You’re everywhere and it’s just blowing my fucking mind that you think you’re so insignificant.

Makes me wonder if the stars feel that way, or if they know we stare at them as often as we do.

It makes me wonder if you even notice how often I’m looking at you…

Sometimes I talk myself into telling you…

That I have no doubts you’re it for me, that I wonder what you taste like…that I wonder what your skin feels like under mine…I’m always wondering, Starlight.

Then you open your mouth and we’re fighting, and I’m convinced that you’d be better off without me…or worse, that you want him.

So, maybe one day.

Maybe we’ll find our way towards it, but this is me telling you without ever having to actually tell you that I see you…and I think I kind of love you…and it fucking terrifies me.
